The construction industry is changing fast, and waste management is at the very centre of that change. At Panda, we’re transforming what once was discarded as rubbish into tangible value, helping our clients save resources, cut costs, and meet their sustainability goals.
Every year, we manage over 4.5 million tonnes of waste, operate from 65 sites in total, and pride ourselves on achieving a recycling and recovery rate of 95%. Our vision is to achieve 100% resource recovery for a better, more sustainable future, and our business is uniquely positioned to play a pivotal role in the move towards a circular economy.
Keep reading to see how we make this possible, and what our approach can do for your next project.
What Leadership Looks Like in Practice
From bricks and concrete to metals, timber, and plastics, our network is designed to capture as much value as possible.

In 2024, we invested in a state-of-the-art IBA processing facility at our Knockharley site. Here, Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) is processed from waste-to-energy plants, recovering metals and minerals from municipal waste ash that would otherwise go to landfill. This process expands our ability to recycle IBA domestically, avoids export, cuts transport emissions, and increases the local supply of sustainable aggregates.
Earlier this year, we also commissioned a reverse osmosis facility collecting water runoff from the landfill. This is diverted through the facility to treat and clean the run-off, which is then diverted to be used in the sprinkler system on site, aiding in dust suppression and supporting the circularity of materials on site.
Additionally, following a €5 million investment, our Millennium Park Plastics Extraction Facility stands as the largest and most advanced system of its kind in Ireland. Within its walls, magnets, eddy current separators, and optical sorters recover ferrous and non-ferrous metals alongside a wide range of recyclable plastics from mixed waste streams. With the capacity to recover 210,000 tonnes each year, it represents a decisive move toward self-sufficiency.

Every tonne recovered here stays in circulation, strengthening our recycling infrastructure, cutting the emissions associated with virgin material production, and keeping resources in the economy for longer.
What’s Different About Panda?
Quite simply, it’s that we value waste, and look to recover every possible ounce of value from unwanted and discarded materials. We believe that another use can always be found for waste materials. That nothing should be left discarded. That value can always be recovered.
That philosophy is backed up by practical, customer-focused services designed to make waste management simpler, more flexible, and transparent:
- Flexible Waste Disposal: Thanks to our nationwide service, our customers can choose us when they’re working further afield, removing the need and inconvenience of sourcing a reputable company in a new location with the same level of service and the same competitive pricing.
- Customised Reporting: We give you full visibility of what happens to the waste you create and how it is repurposed, reused and recycled. You can also benefit from access to a 24/7 portal that provides you with quality data in a timely and efficient manner, supporting you with your own statutory reporting on waste management.
- Wait & Load service: Designed for businesses looking to access commercial waste management services, but unable to use traditional methods because of space, access or restrictions on space, our Wait & Load vehicles are ideal for everything from one-off office clearances to regular development collections.
Safety First, Always
At Panda, on-site safety is our top priority. Our team members are certified and trained to industry best practices, with learning tailored to each role.
We also follow a clear set of Life Saving Rules, backed by PPE compliance monitoring and our Environmental Duty of Care. Through our Independent Leadership Programme, every employee is encouraged to raise hazards, incidents, and threats (HITS), creating a shared responsibility for safety.
The result? Smarter, safer solutions for every job site.
Skips Designed for Every Job
Because we understand every construction site is different, our skips are built to match a range of materials and volumes:
- 4-8 cyd Standard Skip – For light general waste and level loads of demolition waste or soil
- 12-14 cyd Skip – Perfect for larger, lightweight clear-outs
- 20-25 cyd Roro – Heavy-duty roll-on/roll-off option
- 35 cyd Roro – High-sided for bulky, light materials
With 24/7 skip dispatch, a dedicated account manager, and digital waste reports through our customer portal, we make it easy to track exactly what leaves your site and where it goes from there.
