Price Change Notification

News
25th Jul 2022

Due to significant and continual increases in global wholesale energy costs Panda have announced
residential electricity and gas price changes effective from August 25th, 2022.

This change will see household electricity bills increase by 12.7%, while gas bills will rise by 25.8%. This is
equivalent to a €287 per year increase to an electricity Estimated Annual Bill (EAB) and a €412 per year
increase to a gas EAB. These figures are based on a residential customer using typical consumption per
annum on our standard tariff. These increases will be significantly lower for customers on discounted
plans.

Panda Energy Managing Director Brendan Traynor commented:
“Due to global factors beyond our control wholesale gas and electricity costs have continued to rise
substantially and unfortunately the expectation is that these costs will remain high for the foreseeable
future. While we have done our best to absorb these costs, regrettably the decision to increase prices is
unavoidable at this time.”

Panda are committed to their customers and encourage anyone experiencing difficulty paying their bills
to please reach out to us to discuss payment options. We will continually monitor and review our prices
closely in line with the market and remain committed to offering our customers long-term value and
discounted rates each year that they are with us.
