How It Begins
The tour begins by explaining the importance of source separation, and showing how our team collects and prepares recyclable materials for sorting. Viewers are also given the opportunity to experience the comprehensive sorting process, and to observe how the various materials are sorted into their respective categories. This includes a detailed look at the combination of manual and automated sorting technologies used to ensure that all sizes and types of recyclables are in the right waste stream.
The Technical Side
Next, viewers get to explore how various recyclables are further processed. The tour explains how infrared cameras are used to detect non-recyclables that have been mixed in with recyclables, as well as how recyclables are compressed and baled for storage and transportation.
The Grand Finale
At the end of the tour, viewers can explore our innovative reuse and recycling projects that give new life to materials that have been collected. Viewers can also learn about the environmental benefits of MRFs, such as reducing the volume of waste that is sent to landfills, and conserving natural resources.This innovative approach to waste management helps create a more circular economy, and provides a more sustainable future for our planet.
