Transfer of Customers to New Data Controller from Wow Recycling & Waste Limited to Starrus Eco Holdings Limited t/a Panda
Transfer of Data: In accordance with National and European Data Protection Laws, specifically the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018 the purpose of this privacy notice is to inform you of a change in Data Controller entity, the organisation responsible for storing your data, resulting in a change to who controls your personal data to deliver your waste collection & recycling services. The transfer is for business efficiency purposes in the best interests of the Parties.
Both below mentioned parties are dedicated to offering you as much transparency as possible regarding this transfer of customer data. The transfer occurred on 3rd October 2022.
Former Data Controller: (Data Transferor) WOW RECYCLING AND WASTE LIMITED
New Data Controller: (Data Transferee) STARRUS ECO HOLDINGS LIMITED t/a Panda
(the “Parties”)
Data Controller: ‘controller’ means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data; where the purposes and means of such processing are determined by Union or Member State law, the controller or the specific criteria for its nomination may be provided for by Union or Member State law (Irish Law in this instance.)
GDPR Legal Basis for the Transfer: The Article 6(1)(f) ground for the transfer of customer data is that the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the (New) Controller, Starrus Eco Holdings Limited t/a Panda. “Lawful Basis” therefore means the legal justification for processing Wow Recycling & Waste Ltd customer data.
Security: The Parties deployed all reasonable endeavours to ensure that there are the necessary security controls around any customer data/ other personal data that is shared before or after the change in Data Controller entity. Please rest assured that both parties will ensure that the technical conditions are firmly in place to securely transfer any customer data. This has been carefully assessed beforehand by a team of legally qualified experts.
Individual Rights: Individuals may avail of GDPR Chapter III individual rights by making requests to the Panda Privacy Officer via the above address. This applies to Panda customers. The Panda Privacy Officer will action requests and/or happily answer any queries you might have about this process.
