At Panda, we believe that small acts of support can lead to meaningful change. Recently, we had the opportunity to assist Drogheda Homeless Aid (DHA) by donating a skip to aid in their ongoing efforts to support individuals experiencing homelessness.
Drogheda Homeless Aid: Transforming Lives
DHA, a long-standing non-profit organisation based in Drogheda, is currently undergoing a period of transition and renewal. With a deep commitment to restoring dignity and hope to those they serve, DHA provides emergency accommodation, housing support, and resettlement services for homeless men in the community. Since its founding in 1982, the organisation has supported over 4,000 individuals, helping many move on to live independent and fulfilling lives.
As part of their latest initiative, DHA is transforming an underused area of their facility into a new training workshop—a space where residents can learn practical skills that will help them re-enter the workforce and build brighter futures. However, before that transformation could begin, years of accumulated, broken, and stored items needed to be cleared. That’s where we came in.
“We are incredibly grateful to Panda for this support,” said a representative from DHA. “This donation goes far beyond waste removal. It’s about opening up space for opportunity, learning, and hope.”
We were fortunate to visit the site and see the work firsthand, meeting with the DHA team who are working tirelessly—despite limited resources—to deliver real, positive change.
