Panda wins Fingal waste collection tender

Following a detailed competitive bidding process Panda have been selected by Fingal County Council to take over the entire household waste and recycling collections in Fingal commencing on 1st November 2011. Panda already service over 15,000 households in the Fingal region and this number will now rise to 70,000.

Customers black and brown bins will be serviced by Panda from 1st of November and we will take over the green bin collections from 1st January 2012 when the contract for the green bin collections expires with the current service provider.

Existing Fingal County Council customers will experience no disruption to service whatsoever during the transition. Collection days, tags and prices will remain unchanged and Panda are freezing prices for existing Fingal customers until at least 2013.

Panda have committed to honouring all existing waivers for a period of 12 months from 1st November 2011.

All Fingal customers annual service fees will be honoured by Panda up to the end of 2011.

Customers will be notified in good time of any changes to collection days which for most customers will be confined to their green bin collection day next year.

Fingal tags will be replace by Panda tags over the coming months with both types being valid currency for collection until the Fingal tags are phased out.

With the additional Fingal customers Panda will be servicing 135,000 customers between Dublin Louth and Meath, making them the largest household waste collector in Ireland.
