IPR is one of the largest traders of recycled fibre in Ireland, trading in excess of 120 thousand tons per year. By focusing on close relationships with suppliers and customers, rather than solely on market timing, we have built a collaborative network of trading partners around the world.

History

Irish packaging and Recycling has more than 35 years of experience in buying and selling recycled fibre. Headquartered in Ballymount Dublin Ireland, we have a rich history of market contributions to the industry. We have distinguished ourselves with superior customer service and continue to create value today by applying technology, infrastructures, materials and people who manage or support customer throughout the recycled fibre supply chain.

1979 The current plant was constructed.

2002 significant capital expenditure was conducted for the installation of an advanced sorting floor facility and baling equipment, at the Ballymount premises

2007 Takeover by Panda Waste limited and Irish Packaging and Recycling was established.

2009 Aqsiq licence was acquired for direct sales to the Chinese market.

Market material

The company handles in excess of 25 grades of paper on a regular basis and also has over 30 years’ experience in this area.

Most of the waste paper is sourced in Dublin (60%), where the company operates a fleet of lorries, and the rest is sourced throughout our merchant network, operating nationwide including Cork, Limerick, Galway, Sligo, Belfast, Waterford and the Midlands.

Irish Packaging Recycling Ireland plays a key role in the National Recycling Strategy including supporting active involvement in Repak, a private company set up under a voluntary agreement between industry and the Department of the Environment to administer packaging recovery in Ireland.

Irish Packaging Recycling Ireland is a fully owned subsidiary of Panda Waste.

  • The largest baling facility in Ireland, currently processing up to 10,000 tonnes per month.
  • Three large balers, two relatively modern and well maintained.  
  • Small curtain sided collections with 3 – 4 Trucks used daily, very flexible and indebt knowledge of customers and grades.
  • All scheduling of calls is done manually.
  • All financial functions are handled by personnel on site.
  • All  sales handled by Commercial Manager and General Manager.
